Definitely and undiscovered jewel, Granada is the oldest city in the western hemisphere of the Americas; it was founded in 1524 by the conquistador Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba. On this excursion, we will visit the Casa de los Leones, San Francisco Convent and its Museum, with its exposition of pre-Columbian statues and pottery, the colorful market and various architecturally significant churches and monuments. A horse-carriage drive, around the city will help you see the daily life of the people from Granada.
Isletas of Granada
The isletas of Granada is an archipelago of small islands of volcanic origin found in Lake Nicaragua, offshore Granada. The Isletas were created by an ancient eruption by the Mombacho Volcano. A boat trip around these islands will show you the homes of the locals, as well as the wealthy class of Nicaragua, the tropical vegetation makes a good home to many of the bird species found here.
The Mombacho Cloud Forest
The Mombacho Volcano is known as the guardian of the colonial city of Granada. The high point measures over 1,345 meters. This impressive forest is protected and since 1999 part of the Natural Reserves of Nicaragua. A drive from the savanna dry region at the volcano's base up through coffee farms, into cloud forest humid conditions. Once at the top, a 2.5 Km path with descriptive panels and information about the area, the fauna, the flora, and the volcanic activities awaits you. Along this path we will discover a collection of orchids, ferns, butterflies, birds, and when the weather's right, we will enjoy fantastic views of Granada, the isletas and the surrounding region.

Canopy Tour

Masaya by Night Tour
Tour will start with a visit to the Bobadilla cross for views of the volcano and its surroundings. Next will be the arrival of the green parakeets that during the day go out for food and at sunset they return to the craters walls to rest, despite the heavy amount of sulfur gas that the crater emits. Lastly we will go to an underground tunnel formed by lava streams and a viewpoint to see the small pool of glowing lava.
Natural Reserve El Chocoyero
Located less than 30 kilometers away from the busy capital, El Chocoyero Natural Reserve is the perfect place to do some nature watching.On the way to the reserve we will go by coffee, bananas and pineapples plantations enjoying the beautiful views.The reserve is famous for a variety of birds found, especially the Chocoyos or small green parakeets that nest next to a waterfall, they can be seeing in large amounts when they leave in the morning and once they return in the afternoon.Two waterfalls are also found in this reserve “Chocoyero” & “El Brujo”, the water comes from the rain up in the mountains and it provides drinking water to the nearby communities.
City Tour Managua
Managua is the capital of Nicaragua.On this half day excursion we will be able to see the difference between the new and the old Managua which was devastated by the earthquake back in 1972.We will also visit the Old Cathedral, National Palace and other buildings of importance all found in the revolution plaza where most of the government related events take place.
