City Granada & Isletas Tour
Definitely and undiscovered jewel, Granada is the oldest city in the western hemisphere of the Americas; it was founded in 1524 by the conquistador Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba. On this excursion, we will visit the Casa de los Leones, San Francisco Convent and its Museum, with its exposition of pre-Columbian statues and pottery, the colorful market and various architecturally significant churches and monuments. A horse carriage ride to the port of the Great Lake Nicaragua will be a perfect start for the Isletas tour, 365 small islands created by volcanic activity many years ago.
Classic Masaya & Catarina
The Masaya Volcano National Park, with the active Santiago crater, it’s one of the few places in the world where such an active volcano can be observed up close. Here we will have the opportunity to visit it museum where information on the volcanoes of Nicaragua can be found. A visit to Masaya will have to include the Masaya arts and crafts market, where products from around the country can be purchased. Our trip will continue to the famous white towns, Catarina’s well known for its ornamental plants nurseries and the Breathtaking views of the Crater Lake Apoyo Lagoon. Our last stop will be at the pottery town of San Juan de Oriente, here one of the local families will show us the procedure to make a fine piece of art.

León and San Jacinto Hot Springs Tour (Full Day Tour)
León was founded in 1524 by Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba, same founder of Granada. A pleasant walk through the colonial streets will reveal the history on the wall murals, churches and museums. Our trip will continue to the flank of Telica Volcano to see the San Jacinto Hot springs, a perfect example of the constant volcanic activity in the area.
One Day on Ometepe
Exploring the world’s biggest volcanic island in a fresh water lake will be the perfect day in Nicaragua. First, we will drive to the little port of San Jorge and enjoy a one hour smooth ferry ride on the great Lake Nicaragua. At Moyogalpa, Ometepe’s main town, we will continue our trip by land passing several villages, observing the rural daily life of the inhabitants with sceneries reminiscent of Nicaragua’s foundation!! At Altagracia, we will stop, visit the museum and learn about the rich Pre-Columbian past of the island, major encounter place by the Indian tribes. Playa Santo Domingo will not only be to enjoy a nice swim in the fresh waters of the Lake, but also have a delicious meal served in front of this huge extension, second biggest lake in Latin America. In the afternoon, on the way back to Moyogalpa for our ferry back to mainland.
